Thoughts on the outcome would be appreciated.

I have a modding layout for an automatic '04 mach 1 that i would like you thoughts on and mainly would like to know where this would put it at rwhp and torque wise and thanks again for your time and answers everyone.

1.) Gears- frpp 4.10
2.) Exhaust- kooks headers, catted x-pipe, and borla catback exhaust system
3.) Air filter- K&N
4.) Suspension- steeda upper and lower control arms, H&R sport springs
5.) Cams- comp xtreme rpm 114 cam p#106100 (for your reference)
6.) Heads- stock with a port and polish
7.) Tuner- SCT xcal2
8.) Tires - nitto 555

I was wanting to get as close to 400 rwhp N/A as possible with a set-up close to this, whats you thoughts everyone thanks.

There is no way you will be anywhere close to 400 RWHP! With that set up, I would be surprized it you would have 325 RWHP!

I think he could see maybe 350rwhp with that set-up...Its a 4V not a 2V...Their heads actually flow...But the power numbers also depend on how well the Port and Polish is done and who tunes it...Dont think you will see 400rwhp N/A from that set-up though...

What you've got there (minus the catted-get an off road pipe), plus a few more bolt ons and a polished intake should get you really close to 400rwhp. The p&p intakes on 4v's are worth 25-30hp (allegedly). I've been looking at getting heads and cams for my Mach and have been told I'd get close to 400 at the wheels. Like said before, it depends on how good the heads are done!

cai, tb, underdrive pullies, I really liked putting in my intake spacer. You can get one of those from a guy on the Mach 1 registry (his screen name is Roy) or from Pauls High Performance online. They're only around $100 shipped, and lots of fun to install! Depending on how much more air you will flow with the cams and pp heads, maybe look into a larger MAF sensor. But that is something you should ask a tuner if it's needed or not. If you want to get every single little bit of available power you could get an electric water pump, and an even shorter belt to bypass the air conditioner. Maybe even look at a more efficient transmission. The auto's take up a lot of power through parasitic loss.

To deffinantly guarantee yourself 400rwhp, do all of that and get a 302 stroker kit. They generate a bit more power over stock displacement, and then you would have fully forged internals!

p.s. I don't think the tb will give 10rwhp, but it will work nice with all the other mods!

Here's a comparison for you to go by:

My car has a cai, off road x pipe and flowmasters. A great tune from Justin @ VMP and I made 308hp and 331tq at the wheels. Only minor bolt ons. I think with full bolt on's I would see over 325 at the wheels.

I got the intake spacer on after the tune, so I don't know how much it gained. I've read they make 8-10 rwhp though.

Most people say that mildly aggressive cams and a good port and polish usually nets around 60-70 rwhp. That would get you really close to 400!

This is a VERY expensive route to go though! Have you seen the prices on cams alone for our cars?

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...4&autoview=sku

This is a basic street/strip cam kit. That doesn't include install!

yeah I've noticed the prices and it seems that im looking to spend around $6,000 for the products and then install.

they start at 320 flywheel

all 96-98 cobra 4vs are at 305
all 99-01 and 03-04 machs are at 320

only way you are hitting that number is with some spray. you can hit the 340ish mark but you are going to need to add to that list a port and polished lower intake and php intake spacer. along with a JLT CAI

but what do i know its not like i own a 4v or anything

Where did you get those #'s on the Mach? EVERYWHERE I have read they are listed at 305 flywheel. and the pre '03 Cobra's at 320.

And 340ish? with heds and cams and full boltons???? Seems lower than anything I would have guessed.

yeah, but you also have to figure roughly around 17% powerloss to the rear wheels. there are many factors in how much power will be laid down. elevation, temp, humidity, cam specs, p&p specs on the head, etc. these are just rough guesses, not 100% accurate.

I found this link to the corral after searching through the Mach 1 registry... It's a list of n/a 4v motors, some are race gas only engines and others are daily drivers... It gives an idea of what our cars can do when put in the right hands.
