Chin Spoiler HELP!!!

I know this is not a mechanical-type question, but does anyone have the Mach 1 chin spoiler that they bought through Americanmuscle.com?

I recently purchased the mach 1 chin spoiler for my GT (received it today), but I want to paint it to match the color of the car. Does anyone know if this part is paintable and is there any other preping that needs to be done to it before the paint goes on.

I also noticed that the part is fairly flexible...Is there any need to worry about the paint cracking after it is installed???

The spoiler is made out of urethane, so yes it is paintable. I would prep it my roughing it up a little with some sandpaper and cleaning it with plenty of alcohol. I would be worried about the paint coming off though if you ever bump a curb or anything with your car.

i would only reccomend not painting it...but if you really want to try you should ask a body shop if its safe.

Don't paint it

Cause it is going to get way more rock chips etc..

Then you will be making a post crying about it

If you paint it, which I don't advise, use that paint that they sell at lowes or home depot that bonds with plastic and urathane. That stuff works very well and it really does 'bond' with the material. Good luck finding a paint match though.

Keep it black! It adds accent to the look of your car.
