Top End Power Suggestions

My car is fairly quick and everything but after about 120 or so i seem to lose a lot of power and i cant get much more out of it. We have races here and we do it on the runway at the airport so we have lots of room to run and i can beat most anyone there until i hit around that speed and then they start gaining on me. Any ideas on what i could do to get more power up there. I have steeda pulleys, bbk cai and a 75mm tb/intake combo, diablo tune, flowtech lt's with an offroad x-pipe, flowmaster cat back and a pro 5.o to row them with. I have some 3.73's i can put in sometime but im afraid that will make top end even worse. Any suggestions on what i can add would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

lower the car, take the wing off and race with your windows up.

Did you know that if you go fast enough and open your doors you can fly?
Just being silly...

Seriously, wind resistance is a big issue at high speed.

do you think aerodynamics is bigger than more motor performance?

when you don't have the power, absolutely. My car hauls a$$ off the line (4.10), but when I hit 120-125 it's a tad slower to get there... Well, it was until last Monday when I injected some juice in it's veins. Now it plows through the speedo like the rpms going thru 2nd gear! I went pass the 150 mark today and it was just going, and going....

sometimes we start adding stuff to the engine and if we don't tune it, we can actually hurt performance. Too much air flow, not enough fuel mixture, you know, leaning out a little bit, etc... However, since you're saying that it's pretty quick on the bottom, I don't know what to say other than save for a blower or take a shortcut and start spraying. Our modulars can and will happily take more air, but if you go too far with it, then up top you won't have the fuel to make the power since you're prob at WOT in 5th gear trying to pull upwards of 125-130 and up. 5th gear also has a lot of "overdrive" which translates to "cruising" gear and not much power.
But don't take my word, what I'm saying could all be....

DYNO. With everything you've done including the long tubes, I'll bet you're running a little lean. It feels powerful at take off because there's little restriction in the exhaust, but then.... you know the rest.

Actually, it's probably running a little too fat with those particular mods.
