exhaust question

i used to have an o/r x pipe mated up to my stock headers and the sound was incredibly raspy and untame, but besides that i could stand how much it resonated inside the vehicle so i took it off and replaced with stock. my question is... i'm about to put LTs on the car and another o/r mid pipe, is there a mid pipe that wont resonate INSIDE the vehicle so much that i cant even hear the radio?

It's all a matter of preference man....no matter what set up you have your gonna have that Sweet Spot Drone...X-pipe's are more noticable, H-pipe's not so much depending on which cat-back you use...

I've heard alot of praise of MAC's Prochamber being the most tame yet give's a mean sound...here's a clip of my exhaust, give it a click...Kooks LT and Xpipe mated to a Pypes Performance Cat-back.

I though it would sound raspy as hell but in all honesty it's not that bad....only thing is at 1800-2000 rpm's it drones like crazy but other then that i have no complaints. GL on your decision though and post up a vid once all is said and done

like leadfoot said, your always gonna have some drone.

but a MAC Prochamber is exactly what you're looking for. I have one on my car and I absolutely love it. The best sound you can get comes from the Prochamber. Trust me.

The only system that does not drone at all is the stock system.
They ALL drone, some less than others.
The reason people say their system does or doesn't drone is because everybody has a different opinion on what is "exhaust sound" and what is "drone".
A loud "hummmm" under load from say 1900-2100 RPM that goes away at higher or lower RPM is usually considered to be drone.

Also, it's relative to what you are comparing it to.
To my ears, Flowmasters are painful in the drone zone, especially in a vert. My Magnaflow catback (not packs) drones under load at 1900-2100 rpm but its tame compared to Flows and controllable as well.

I agree with the others that the ProChamber might be best for you. Also the LT are going to make things louder because you will literally hear every exhaust pulse.
Lot's of people love that sound but it can get annoying on long highway trips.
To each his own!

You gotta get a shorty mid-pipe, but other than that most different brand set-ups seem to mount-up together fine.
