What oil to run on a vortech supercharger??

I am currently running 5-30 Royal Purple Full Synthetic and I was wondering what everyone else is using and what oil filter. Also does anybody know how many quarts of oil it takes on a full oil change with a Vortech V-2 SQ supercharger?? Thanks for the feedback.

Right now I'm running Super Tech 5w-30. It's Wal Marts cheapest dino oil and a Motorcraft filter. I run almost 6 quarts

Jivepepper, how often are you changing your oil. Every 3000 miles?

I usually use mobil 1 synthetic 5w20, I just switched to Royal Purple synthetic 5w20, change my oil every 3000 miles... haven't had one problem. Run about 6.5 quarts myself

I noticed some of you run 6 and some 6.5 quarts. Are they different because of the blower brand and each brand using more oil??
