Some quick help please.

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I'm just looking for an answer asap. My brother has a 99 GT, and he apparently blew the engine tonight. He said he was screwing around, doing doughnuts, and afer he was done he went to take off to drive home and his car started making a knocking sound and would barely accelerate. He got it home, and he said it's not leaking anything or burning oil.

Now he basically wants to use this for an excuse to get a new engine. So he wants to know what will drop in with his transmission and all, and will make more power than his stock engine. Please give me some websites to look at also.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

any 4.6 and 5.4 will bolt into its place without firment and trans issues. mainly just ecu or tuning, exhaust, and induction (manifold, t/b, cai, maf, etc) set ups will need to be changed.

I say a built bottom end motor, ( forged pistons, rods, and crank) New block, VT heads and cams with a Trick Flow intake and then some nitrous!

Well, we're 99% sure it's a bent rod. Dont know the damage for sure yet, I'm probably gonna start tearing it apart this weekend.

He's still pretty insistant on a engine swap though, so, can you guys give me some websites I can order complete engines from. I found a couple doing a search, but I'd rather get some recommendations to reputable companies from you guys.
