reading all this makes me want to swap my 4.10's for 3.73's. Now with the spray I'm having second thoughts about it.

with my set up i am shifting before i get to the tree, and had to raise my rev limiter and window switch so i wouldnt bounce the rev limiter getting through the traps. a 28 inch tall slick would change that, but i tried to keep it all around a stock setting.

I may be biased, but I think 4.10's are perfect for an N/A SOHC 4.6 mustang. If you do your "performance driving" off track, then 4.10's would kick ass with a power adder too! I think they would be too much for a power assisted track car, unless you can rev to 6500rpm or more.

Well I will definatly be happy with the 4.10 considering I have 2.73s right now, and I think that it will work the best for the tack too!

I was reading about Jim Fitzgerald's? car and think he said that going to 3.55 is what finally got him into the 9s. I will have to look for that thread and see if I can find it.
