hey guys i want to have my car n/a as much as possible so im thnkingg baout cams i just dont know how ot get started i just want to know what are the bets ones to get , where should i get them from, how much they cost, perofmance gains, basically i wan tot know eveyrhting about them. i want to put them on my 2002 gt by the way. thanks guys!

With cams it really depends on where you want your power band to be. Once you know that then people can start to recommend cams for you.

Also, just cams won't give you a huge power gain on these motors. The heads are very restrictive. For the best results I would recommend going with cams and heads at the same time. Heads vary from 1,200 to 2,500 depending on what brand you go with. Cams are normally 500-600.

I have no clue what it would cost to have them installed. But one thing to keep in mind is after you do all of this you WILL need to get the car tuned. That can be anywhere from 200-1,000 depending on dyno time, and how much the dyno tuner charges.

^ AMEN! i was about to get some heads and cams for my car and then talked to a shop to install them and was no where close to ready for all the installation and dyno time to tune it.

Installation is gonna kill ya. look at another 500-600 for the cam installation alone. I have no idea what Heads will cost ya. But for the cheaper route... the mongoose vortech supercharger kit will give u more horses and be cheaper... just a suggetions. I plan on saving up for the mongoose kit myself.

How much were they going to charge for install? I might be able to help you out.
