Mustang Exhaust Help

Hey I am new to Mustangs, I am a Pontiac guy and am helping my sister with her Mustang. She has an '02 GT convertible and it is automatic. We are going for a mean sound, and the car currently has a Bassani cat-back system. The car has a great tone, but I am afraid it is a little too quiet. I wanted to get the Bassani x-pipe, as I have a friend with an '02 GT running the Bassani x and cat-back and it sounds great. I also have two friends with Terminators that run Bassani x-pipes and they just sound awesome. And when I got the cat-back I was amazed at how beautiful the welds and the craftsmanship was. So the Bassani x-pipe was a no brainer...... until I read that it will not fit an automatic car, which brings me hear.

Does anybody have any recommendations for an x-pipe that will fit an automatic '02 GT convertible that has the same performance, tone, and fit and finish that the Bassani offers.

As a side note, we will be keeping the stock exhaust manifolds on, as the car will be a show car, not a race car, and the cat-back and x-pipe should be more than enough to get the sound we are after.... I don't want to add headers and make the car too loud for her so she can't cruise and listen to music when the top is down.

Not to be rude but please read what I wrote if you are going to post.... I already bought the Bassani cat-back and the Bassani x-pipe doesn't fit on an auto according to AM

We think MagnaFlow is a great option - and if you're looking into using us, we have two x pipes for the GT fitment will work on either Automatic and Manual, both mandrel bent and made of stainless steel. The first is a whole X-pipe from the manifolds that deletes the converters, part number is #15445, and the other is an x pipe that installs after the factory converters that part number is #15447. Of course, all lifetime warranty.

Mike,

1999-04 Mustang GT/Mach1 Bassani Catalytic X-Pipe for Automatic at LRS - Free Shipping!

I would call them to see if it is stainless or the BX aluminized version.

If that doesn't work, the magnaflow tru-x is another quality option.

Order WITH cats... the O/R is loud with the bassani catback... most likely much louder than your sister would like.
