I hate VA
Went to get it inspected, they complained on:
1. Sunstrip on the window. Thats fine. I can remove it. 2. No cats. Whats a good solution to this? I dont want to compromise my exhaust sound .... but yet, I need to get it passed ASAP. Any ideas guys?

well ur gonna have to get cats to pass emissions. I actually think stangs sound better with high flow cats. Its not as raspy w/o cats and its much deeper

HMUSN, Don't I have to goto an exhaust shop to have that done, then pay what? 200 or something, and another 200 to put my pipe back on.

now why would you need an exhaust shop?
it's simple to put on and take off. just put your car on jack stands. and fwi if you spend $200.00 to put on an h pipe your

do they just look at the cats or do they hook up your exhaust pipes to a machine? if they just look then just gut out the cats and put them on

They just look for them...
Just put your stock h-pipe on... Or find a shell station that does inspections...They "overlook" some things... |

I stopped down the street from the inspection station and put a piece of steel wool in each pipe just far enough in there i could get it out with a pair of long needle nose, but enough where they couldn't hit it with the probe.
do this at your own risk because it can get stuck if you don't do it right. but it worked for me.

i took my car to a place in Norfolk. the car was in and out in 7 minutes, no bullshit. i think that was just long enough for the guy to pull it into the garage, go in the back, have a smoke and a cup of coffee and take down the info for the sticker. $16 and no questions asked.

Instead of trying to get one over on the law, why don't you just get some high flow cats installed? I have Kooks Lt headers with high flow cats and a Mac sytem from there and the sound is great. Even my old GT gad high flows, either that or find someone in NC and register your car there.

See with a prochamber you can just tell them that the box of the prochamber is a high flow cat. They probably wont know the difference.

I've decided I am just getting them installed, and then I am going to gut them out.
They just look for them here, and thats it.
