Welded or Real Deal?

Hey I just realized something lol. Theres actual exhaust and then theres pipes you can just weld on to get the sound but no power. I'm starting to question which one I have. I went to a shop and got Magnapacks put on. . . or so I thought. Any way to tell?

yes. the stock exhaust doesn't have mandrel bends.

meaning you will see little ridges where the bends are if it's a stock pipe.

the crinkle bending is a thing of the past, all the stock systems i have seen didnt have any crinkle bends. i dont know if the stock exhaust is mendrel or not, but it is smooth bends and stainless steel. the magnapcks are round bullet type resonators compared to the regular magnaflow which is an oval muffler.

The shape of the muffler and look for weld marks around the ends of each muffler. The real magnapack catback is all bolt on. No welding needed.

Just look under the car...You can see if it is new or not...

neckbonekat is right...But sometimes places will weld them in...
