Shaker Hood
I love the look of the shaker hood, i know there are the cdc kits and roush kits...does anyone have any experience with them?...i have seen online a kit that lets you use the mach 1 shaker and hood anyone else seen it? i cant remember where i had seen it at

yea I got a shaker - (oem mach 1) - I bought the scoop and made a custom bracket to fit my s/c, looks badass and i didnt have to buy a dumb looking spacer. if you want help pm me

does anyone have a video of it? im sure its called a shaker for a reason, and i just cant picture it.

yea thats the cdc kit, but i came across a website one time that sold ford oem shakers and hoods with brackets that fit a gt ...but i guess if need be i can fab some...does anyone have some pics of a cdc kit installed? im trying to decide if i like the mach look or the cdc look right now im leaning toward the oem mach look

Yeah...I've seen those. You're gonna have to pay between $700-800 depending on the kit; which includes all components, including the hood (I believe). Don't forget that the paint job will probably run you another $400 to $500. Tell ya the truth though, if your doing this for performance don't even waste your time. You'd be lucky if you pick up 5 hp. If it's for looks thats cool, but it's kinda pricey.

You won't get any kind of real power out of a shaker hood... Nothing noticable. If you are looking at a kit with Ford oem parts I don't see how that would work. The bracket that holds the shaker scoop to the motor is attached to the upper intake of the Mach engine. The GT intake is an extremely different shape and I can't picture where the brackets would fit on a GT intake. It looks cool and all, but I also think that just a normal 1"-1&1/2" cowl looks great on a 99-04. Even better on a black car. I saw a black GT in Texas before I moved and it was pretty darn sexay!
