Nitrous Pricing

Looking to plop a n20 kit into my 01 GT. Going all out. I want the kit (duh), window switch, bottle warmer, purge kit, and if I'm feeling extra lazy I'll get the remote opener too. I see a lot of guys on here say they only paid around 1000-1200 for their full setup. I plan on running a 100 shot. Current mods are Magnapacks. Thats it haha.

Am I going to need a tune? If so I called AMP Performance they say its $900 for a tune with Predator Tuner included.

My question is how are you guys getting full setups if the tune alone is costing almost a G? Seems like I'd end up spending

NX Plate Kit w/ 10LB bottle: $547
Purge & Bottle Warmer: $364
Window Switch: Can't find one for my year (WTF??) probably $150

Total without tune = $1061
With tune basically 2 grand.

So once again. Do I need the tune for a 100 shot?

yes you need a tune but you have to think the 900 is with the tuner and im not sure about that model but tuners usually go for 300-400 , and in my opinion go with the xcal2

window switch will control nitrous activation and deactivation depending on rpm set points. ebay is a way to get it all. if you have something against ebay then here you go:

Talk to a local shop with dyno and see how much they'll do it for with the tune. I would do the 125 shot all together and DEF need a tune. You will need to retard timing (tune) and don't forget the colder plugs. You can save by doing away with the "show" stuff like the purge and bottle opener, for now. I don't have a window switch and I've been lucky, but if you don't know your car/engine real well, get the switch, is necessary safety.
You shouldn't spend more than $1000.00 on what I mentioned.
