Flows

Is it true that flowmasters can kill your hp compared to other brands if so is it at low rpm or high rpm that the power loss is happing.

?? I never heard of anything like that, they may not give you as much of a gain as some other ones but I don't think they'll hurt your performance...

they wont hurt from a stock set-up... but a straight through muffler will flow better. hooker aerochambers and spintech mufflers will flow better too. but i mean were talking maybe 1-2hp here.

depending on what mods are it could be more than that. on most bolt on cars it is not much. on a heavily modded car, it will show more.

did he go with a larger diameter pipe where he might have lost some backpressure? that will kill hp. you need a little bit of backpressure.

Not really sure on that one but i can ask it just really bothers me that the sound off them is so great but is good sound relly worth losing HP over????

I have a blower and really did not tell a difference between the Flowmasters and Bassni catback...The sound is the only thing that changed...

i have seen dyno runs of cars losing power with flows. dd cars wont lose but just a few, it really depends on what the person is looking for. i personally wont run flowmasters on anything, some people wont run anything but flow's.
