best crate motor for 01

I am looking to buy a crate motor or find a used 03 cobra motor but not sure where or what to get. I also have the option of getting a alumimium block, boring it out and just going from the ground up. Let me know what yall think i should do and some suggestions on crate motors

Get a block built how you want it, it will be stronger and hold more power than the cobra motor.

All together, I swapped in an 04' cobra motor with 4k miles for $7200.00

Thats with a shit ton of bolt ons too including:
msd ignition
slp 2.81" upper
bbk longtubes
predator tuner
bbk cold air intake
offroad H
fidanza flywheel
spec clutch
lfp heat exchanger
lfp supertank
lfp intercooler resovoir
upr full length subframes
255lph fuel pump

i'll be around 520 rwhp with stock eaton

I've seen the stock cobra motor with no aftermarket internals make over 850RWHP. IMO you will NEVER be at that level and the motor comes from the factory like that. I have no regrets with the path i took! In the future im going to scrap the heaton setup get an 01 intake, timing cover, etc and put a centri blower on it. I say cobra motor ftw!! =)

and i still got my zex wet nitrous kit setup that i'll probably hook up with the 75 jets
