Ford Racing Hood Latch & Pin Kit

So... just received the Ford Racing Hood Latch & Pin Kit from americanmuscle.com. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any instructions at all, and in American Muscle's defense, I called them today and the guy talked me through it on the phone a little bit, but it still would have been nice to have come with installation instructions.

Does anyone else here have this, and if so, could you post some pictures of it? I really want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I go drilling 10 holes in my hood (that's how many this kit requires).

Some pics would be AWESOME. Thanks guys.

Here's what I bought:

http://www.americanmuscle.com/fordra...d-pin-kit.html

Also bought a Mach 1 chin spoiler and a billet fuel door. Fuel door is on, waiting on some plastic push pins for the chin spoiler.

I would think on the radiator core support would be the best location next to the hood bumpers

Use your tape measure man... heh measure in how far it is... once you drill the hole in the core support I would put a marker through the hole and mark underneath the hood to line up the holes right to the hood... look at the upper right hand corner of this page at the mustang, they're all at that location unless they're fake...

Also I hope they're a good brand because I've seen some rusted ass hood pins...

You took them out? I figured you'd need them to align your hood properly with the fenders

I looked on www.modularpowerhouse.com, couldn't find a write-up anywhere on there.

Thanks a ton dude... my mistake was I didn't see the forums link on the left side.

I don't have any welding experience, so I hope I can get it to work without and tacking like he did in his write-up...

My wife just purchased a set for me.....Love that gurl.... Hopefully I will recieve it tomorrow so I can install this weekend. Only question I had was if I remove the hood bumps and intall them there will it mess with the hood alignment? I will post pics of the install.....

That's what I was thinking of doing, but I'm not sure how you were able to get a nut into that little space on the bottom.

I don't suppose I could request a quick pic of it?

Thanks dude!!

i would if my dad didnt borrow my camera for vacation. its a tight spot but just use a wrench to hold the nut on the bottom while you thread the pin in. it does not mess with the adjustment of the hood. my hood fits perfect.

In the middle of installing them right now... there's no space to get the wrench underneath the pin to hold the bottom nut! I ended up drilling out a space in order to get the wrench in there, but it's out of sight so it's no problem.
