exhaust leak?

i put a mac prochamber on my 03 gt and after the initial install it sounded great but i had a squeek under the car over bumps. i then unbolted the mid section and "moved" it around a bit and then bolted it back up. now i can hear a loud sound that sounds like, what i think is an exhaust leak, coming from i think the passenger side. is that passenger side gasket that easy to damage? would a cracked gasket really be THAT loud? how possible is it that i damaged the gasket that connects the h-pipe to the header flange? this is the only thing i can think of... has anyone had or heard of exhaust leaks like this after installing an new o/r midpipe? is this a leak or something else? just thought id ask and myabe find its something more simple that i can solve easier before i take it all apart again. (at higher rpms it gets worse and is really loud and makes my car sound like a loud ass ricer! help!)

i couldn't tell ya without looking myself...

go take a peak .. do a cold start.. then rev the motor to about 4k while someone is looking at the suspected area.. you will see smoke (from condinsation) come from the leak

i had that problem before....the gasket was burned up and caused the leak...sounds like that might be it

another way to test is to use a funnel with a hose and pinpoint the area, or....

Like I did, I used seafoam and watched under the hood how the smoke was coming from the driver's side header/manifold area. Not to mention that it sounds like a spike sprinkler at mid morning.. Sht sht sht sht, and it gets louder with revs. If you drive with the windows up, you can hear it just enough with the rhythm of the pistons going up and down.

Sounds kinda like a loud turbo with a kazoo on it doesn't it? Thats the best I can describe an exhaust leak. What I always did whenever I had exhaust leaks was have someone in the car revving it little by little to see if I could find the spot, and then tighten it down first to see if that fixed it. Always worked for me, but if it's a gasket well then I guess you know your gonna need a new one.
