tsb 05-14-3 help...squeek when turning help


i think i am experienceing the symptoms described in this tsb has anyone experienced this? if so how did you fix it?

I went through a can of WD-40 and to this date is good.

did you just lube all the steering system and it was good to go?

Yep. Just sprayed the crap out of everything that moved in there and that did it for me.

The dealer told me to try that first and it worked. I guess they didn't want to replace the steering rack and brackets...

Well I say use some Dupont Teflon spray. reason being it drys and still penetraits, so you wont have a whole bunch of crap getting caught in the WD40

I would have done it differently. I had to clean up all the build up afterwards... After you "lube" it all, you can use some spray grease (not the white one) for the links and that should be good enough.

I wish the Slick 50 and Duralube lubricants were still around...

i work for a john deere dealership so i have access to john deere brand spray lube for free...so i think i might try that
