Well I thought I had an exhaust leak until today I noticed that when the clutch is engaged the noise stops... anybody have any similiar noise and know what the problem is? Does that mean my clutch is going or what?

Alright here's the vid, I was trying to show you guys that it stops when the clutch is engaged but for some reason it didn't pick it up too well inside the car but you can hear it when I go outside... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwBilkSJhbE

Oh don't mind the whistling...

It might be just the point of view im looking at the video from but it looks like that clutch is riding a little high, if so then that noise might mean your throwout bearing is worn. How are the gears shifting? Is the clutch catching high? Those bearings go so quickly..the rest of your clutch assembly could still have another 15,000 miles left but with a burned throwout bearing.

Gears shift fine while driving, aside from the occasional 3650 problems... Is the clutch pedal supposed to be even with the brake pedal? If so I'll go check it out. All I have to do is like lay my foot on the clutch barely and the noise will go away, what happens if you don't fix it does it mess anything up or just make noise? Just wondering how serious it really is...

its your throw out bearing and possibly your forks. I had the same problem with my car but when they went in, it was time for new everything so i replace the whole deal. Mine was sweaking bad and always would stop when i pushed the clutch in. Go with a heavier duty bearing and go from there. Its cheaper and will fix your problem.

yeah it's kinda like cards stuffed in a bicycle spoke riding around but goes away when the clutch is pushed in... I thought it was an exhaust leak but I figured out today it stops when I barely touch the clutch and I was like wtf... I better ask somebody about this shit... lol
