Code Help

Alright this is the second time in about 2 months that my CEL came on. I went the first time and it came up with P0420. Which is the O2 sensor is below threshold or something like that. The guy that time told me to wait and see if it comes back on becuase it could mean something else. Now it came back after two months of it being off and its the same thing. They guy this time told me that will keep going off because I dont have any cats. Is this right or is my O2 sensor bad?

If you don't have cats it shouldn't set it off... I'd guess the 02 sensor

If you don't have cats you need mil eliminators or to turn them off with a hand held tuner. really easy to fix.

Thats funny, I always thought below threshold was bad cats. Which would mean the o2 sensor in the back is tripping. It is the one that measures the cats. Maybe I was wrong though.

Nope, I checked. Thats what it means. The one in the back is the one detecting the problem. Catalyst below threshold. If thats the code you're getting.

OHH! I thought it was the one up front. Ok so I guess I just need to break down and finally buy the damn tuner that I have been thinking of buying forever.
