ok i was arguing with someone and they said that the new v6's where faster then the old v8....... wtf i know they might be fast then the 95-98 gts but....wtf someone corret me if im wrong

well from what i've been hearing, the new v6's are 4.0's instead of the old 3.8's. i'm not sure if that's gonna be enough to put them ahead of our v8's but they very well maybe able to keep up easier now. but that's jus an input from my hearsay

the new v6s make 210 crank HP
i had a 99 f150 that made 210 crank HP and it was 4.2 6er

so no .2 extra liters isent much its they have a diff crank in the block now thats were th .2 liters is from.

My friend drove one and was like dude there so much faster then the old gts and we kept fighting about it. I think its because the new ones handle so much better that he thought that

well i raced a new body v6 with my stock(excespt for an o/h h-pipe) 2001 gt. I won by about a car and a half. they are fast for a little v6.

I wouldn't say they're better off with a civic, but they are not V8. They sound good, look good and can definitely hold their own out there.

the new v-6's have the same motor that's in my 2002 explorer, only with a little less torque. that motor holds it's own in a 4200 pound SUV, so i'd imagine in the new stangs, it'd be pretty decent. great low end torque for a 6-er, not much top end, but i can smoke little riced out cars off the line in my explorer all day long.

I'm telling you, every test and magazine will have something different. Ford has the new GT at 5.6 sec on 0-60, YET, Road and Track has them at 5.2! I guess Ford don't know what they build? LOL

The best to find out is to line em' up!

Ford always under rates their number now after the disappointing mustang release a few years back. Always better safe then sorry, also every test even which the same tires will have different amounts of traction which will have a big affect theres also different climates that will performance. but .4 seconds is a lil much.
