tuning questions

is it necessary to have the car tuned after having long tubes installed? the only mods I have are o/r h-pipe and weld in flows. I wont be adding any mods to it for a while. WIll it be ok without a tune. I have read that long tubes lowers a/f ratio. I don't see how but thats what they said.

im 90% sure that you dont need a tune but it will maximize the effect of the LT headers.

Better to be judged by 12 then carried by six.

+1 I've never heard of anybody getting a tune after longtubes unless they were trying to maximize their potential.

Advice.... Don't do it. I did it and only picked up 2 HP, waste of money on the tune. Better performance will come just from the LT's alone. If you do full exhaust and CAI along with TB/Plenum, then yes, benefit from the Dyno tune.

I didn't want to tune it if I didn't absolutely have to. cai, upper intake and t/b will be on the list after the body is done in a couple months.

thanks guys
