How to get 450-500 rwhp for my gt?

How to get 450-500 rwhp for my 04 gt? Right now I have 373 rwhp with a pro charger on it at 9 psi and, I was wondering if i should do internal work to my engine before trying to get more out of it. But if anyone who has any ideas please reply back.

for anything more than 450 rwhp you need forged internals... after that it's just upping the boost with pulleys and tunes...

Keep in mind that the 450 HP internal rating is for peak power at one point, not for constant boost or spray. That will put you at the edge of breakdown sooner. With stock internals I wouldn't push more than 410 to be safe.

you cant even get a forged block for 2 grand. cams alone are about 1/4th of that price

You need a little more than 2k and do it yourself. That's the key, labor cost will kill you. You can buy internals for about $1500 if you know where to look.

Just pricing example. Then you need cams ($550 or so) and the accessories.

Then you will want to do some head work, or buy some heads. In all you'll be spending 5-7k if you want to do the crank and all, but your crank is good to about 650 HP. But again, you'll have enough to support over 700 HP. With that kind of power, comes some good spending.

You will not reach 450-500 with just internals and bolt ons. You will need some power adder like nitrous ($500-700) or blowers (2800-5000). Like said before, for anything over 450, you need to forge. THEN, you need to look at suspension, driveline/axles, etc...

fuel pumps are a big thing too. your engine needs more fuel for more power after all haha.
i know that was part of the 'etc.' but i just thought id throw that in there.

you can get a forged rotating assembly (just the crank, rods and pistons) for $2500-$3000. but that's if you're planning on reusing your stock block and heads and all. i'm looking at a built longblock and from what i've seen, i'm looking at at least $6k. for the kind of numbers you're looking for, you may just want to save some cash and get a whole new motor with p+p heads, cams, forged bottom end, then boost the crap out of it. you won't have any problem seeing 400- 450 rwhp

You could squeeze some more. 10 lbs of boost is ok on the stock engine and should but you closer to your goal. It's all a time bomb. Even with a built engine, something can go wrong. The chances are slimmer on some areas though...

Hell, with my spray I'm edging 400 and it's feeling slower everyday.
