If your doing LED gauges, READ THIS

Just wanted to show everyone my LED gauges on my 1999 Mustang
Originally I tried getting around Sanding off the tint on the back of the gauges
But after putting the RED LEDS in I couldnt see it at all it was SO DIM!
Heres a comparison photo of before with red leds and after sanding the tint off.

All I used was a drill with a dremel fine sanding bit and it really only took me about an hour just take your time and make sure its done right so you dont have to go back and RE do it

Looks pretty cool I did the same with blue leds. Did you dot the tips? Looks like you have a few hotspots

damn that looks sick! What is different about the 2001+ cars? doesn't something change?

The early new edges had a blue tint behind them, the later years had a green tint.

All I used was my finger and 1/4 sheet of 1000 grit

Change interior lights! LEDs **PICS**

Nice. I changed mine to blue leds and the needles are pretty dim and the redline doesn't show up at all. I'm gonna just use white next time I take them apart because I used white in the HVAC and its a nice blue. looks good red though, maybe I'll go that route (red car).

Yeah I have some Hot Spots cant really see them in person but any idea how to fix that?! O.O

and yeah like it was said 99-00 have blue 01-04 have green tint

my leds that i ordered from superbrightleds seem a bite small?

I read the whole thread and followed the size/link provide, they arrived today but they seem very small and wouldn't fit from the looks of it.

Deleted a lot of the pictures awhile back but it's pretty self explanatory.

If the led doesnt work, take it out and spin it 180* and it'll work.
