Painting gt mirrors

I absolutely love the look of cobra mirrors. With that being said, I am definitely not going to spend 250 plus on a pair of mirrors. Just seems a bitch much when I bought a rare 01 cobra front bumper for 300. Idk that's just the way that I feel about it. I was giving thoughts to painting my gt mirrors to replicate the 03-04 cobras. Kind like this.

They look awesome painted, that's one of my next mods. I'd keep the stock ones on and go to a junkyard and get some mirrors cheap. do it on those once, worst comes to worst and you dont like em you sell them or try again.

with your color, sonic blue, i think it would look just as nice if your whole mirror was painted blue vs the cobra look.

You know I have contemplated that too but I really think leaving some black on them like the cobras would look pretty sick. I don't think it would cost too much to have my shop do it for me. He usually cuts me good deals when I keep returning with business.

I painted SON1Cs mirrors like that. I dont think he ever installed them though. I could give you his number if you wanted to possibly buy them off him since hes been kicked off the site. lol

Do not paint the whole mirror. It truly looks 'off'. Do the cobra look.

Yea I know, that's what I wanted. Not all painted. But if I can grab a pair for a cheap price or decent than I might as well. Swore froush said they were like the cobras

They sure do beat the price of actual cobra mirrors. I had these painted for all of $50 bucks. The black is "glossy" to add a lil more "wow" factor instead of the matte/flat look.

If you'd like, I'll snap a close up for ya..

Yea definitely. I have seen some guys etch into the mirror to give a bit more of the cobra mirror affect. Don't know if you did or not but dang they look great!
