cams in high milage engine

I want to put cams in my mustang gt. Sooner or later ill end up building a complete motor but i was wondering if its ok to put cams on a motor with 105k miles on it. I want the lope and performance that you get for them and im going to go with vt stage 1 cams or crower cams. I want to go with the biggest cam i can get without blowing the stock motor.
what you guys think?

vt stage 2 cams have a real nice lope... I'd do them with valve springs and a tune and you'd be set...

As far as whether or not it's ok to put new cams on a well worn engine. There are a lot of variables there. All engines break in & wear differently, obviously, which is why some engines run forever, and why some pop when they shouldn't. If you put new cams up top, you are rolling the dice with your rings & bottom end being worn. It also depends on how stiff of a cam you get.
