i use premium... i mean you can use regular 87 but idk... i just like the idea of the best for my precious stallion lol. 87 some ppl have some engine knock and even that doesnt hurt it, it sounds like sh*t. Plus, with more engine upgrades, the higher octane u'll need just the laws of it.

I run 91 octane premium, but my car is tuned for it with a Predator tuner. There is no performance gain to be had in using premium unless you put a tune on it. Premium will burn a little cleaner, and is slightly better for your engine, but won't really add any gains until you set the computer up for it.

Yea i heard that using higher octane with a stock tune isent good for the car....your only supposed to use it if your tuned for it

It's not bad for the car, it just doesn't do anything for power until you change the tune, which advances the timing allowing you to utilize the higher octane of the better fuel.

I use premium because my car is tuned for it because I have a supercharger and low octane and boost don't mix too well!

If your timing is advanced then use 93. The higher the octane the slower the fuel burns this is why it helps with pinning. On both my car i run 93 do to the 5.0 being at 14 advanced and the 4.6 to help with her running lean.

To answer the question, a 99-04 GT motor is at 9.6:1, a 96-98 GT motor is at 9.3:1, and a 96-98 with PI heads its 10.4:1.

I will always use Shell 91 in my beast! Its the best I can get around here! It doesnt get anything different!

Do not use High octane Gas Unless Your car is tuned for it period.

Your car will not burn up all of the high octane fuel if it's not utned for it.

My test results stock tune=

190 203 miles on a fill up with 93 octane (Filled up on pemium 3 times)

210 230 miles on 87 octane

If it isn't tuned it don't help.

Side note Crappy Gas Will Effect Your car Make Sure You get good quality Gas.
