I'd run like 15 or 14 psi heat them up real good and see how well it hooks up when ya dump it, then you'll know if you can dump it or have to feather it...

I have the 315/35/17 MT's and I picked up 5/10's in the 1/4 the first time I used them. I was leaving at 4k and just dumping the clutch with 18 psi in the tires.

So the larger tires on a smaller wheel work well for drag radial but what about when ur runnin normal pressure wit street tires. I would think this would be a problem. Im curious cuz I wanna get 10" deep dish bullets for the rear wit street tires and was thinkin bout gettin drag radials for the 8s that are back there now, wut you guys think?

Hey Matt just a heads up, I couldnt find anywhere around here that would put a 275 on my stock wheels, so I went with 245/45/17

From what I've heard (and experienced), the Nitto and Sumitomo 315's don't usually rub. When I got rid of my Sumos and got BFG drag radials, they rubbed just a tiny bit when cornering hard on the driver side. I banged in a small metal section and no more rub.

My 315 MT's which are a little wider than the 315 nittos I have in the garage never rubbed. The offset of the rim would also have a little to do with it. Mine are 10.5" deep dish wheels.

I run the 275/17/40 MT E/T Street and I'm absolutely in amazement at your amazing feat of clutch dumping @ 4k RPM. Your my new hero.
![]() Hell, I dumped at 3,500 and bogged. Getting the 4.10 put in on Thursday, hopefully that'll cure having to ride the clutch out. (Not long, but my best 60' on the 3.27 was a 2.0 flat, I know that should be better, but couldn't launch as high without riding the clutch. I'd just fall on my nose like I stalled right after launch.) Also, for the record, MT E/T Street hook like hell at anytime for me. It's pretty incredible what these tires will do, even at a high pressure on the street. At the strip I run about 17, still experimenting. Everyone says to get these really warm. What kind of burnout should I be doing on these? Enough to see some smoke? A buddy of mine runs the same tire and his are at the tread wear bar after 4 passes and no daily driving. I'm pretty sure he overdoes it.
