Motor Mounts ??

How long do Motor Mounts usually last? The guy why did my Exhaust was having a hard problem cause the bolts to the Exhaust were rusted. The car came from up north. He stated the Motor Mounts were looking worn and might need to add them to my list of things to do. I have an 03 Cobra with 47k miles on it but I am kinda a newbie when it comes to most of this stuff. Any opinions would be helpful.
