99 Mustang GT (Spark plugs, wires & Coil pack)

I purchased the Autolite spark plugs that need to be capped at 0.54" & also purchased the Ford Racing 9mm Spark Plug wires. I was told that I can't use the stock Coil pack with what I just purchased so I need help. What kind of Coil Pack do I need to purchase & how much do they run. I heard something about a screaming deamon coil pack but don't know if that would be compatible with what I bought. I'm not even sure if my Autolite spark plugs are compatible with the 9mm Ford Racing Wires. HELP ME PLEASE.

from what I have heard coil packs are a worthless mod...

You should not have spark plug wires...

Not sure what you mean by I should not have spark plug wires. My car hasn't had a tune since I bought it. Are you saying I should return what I bought?

here is the deal, 99-up cars do not have spark plug wires, the have coil on plug, look at the motor and you should see 8 black circles over each cylinder right next to the injectors. those go ontop of the plugs which are down in the head. So all you need to change is the plugs, the coil on plugs don't need to be changed unless they go bad. which they almost never do, the screamin coil packs are for 96-98 mustangs that actually have plug wires. So return the plug wires and just change your plugs. And make sure you change the plugs with the motor cold, and use antisieze cause aluminum heads like to strip out.

these are what the coil on plugs look like except all black, you do not need to waste your money on new ones or aftermarket ones, they are expensive as hell also.

haha, yup. And i can tell you "helicoil"..... doesnt work. hahahaha. They think there smart having us remove the heads for them so their "buddy" can helicoil them because we wont do it...... then months later they come back asking us for price on heads and they take the hit to the wallet all over again.

Thank you guys for all of the replies about this. I'm going to contact the place I ordered the wires from & see what I can do to return them. Ended up spending $82 on those things & didn't know my car didn't need Spark Plug wires. Does this mean that all GT's 99-up have a sequential electronic fuel injection Engine Management System? I have a 99 35th Anniversary Limited Edition GT & that's what they said I have in my car.

Also, does anyone know where I can get good illustrations on how to change my spark plugs? I'm a visual type of person but if you don't have illustrations I will take instructions as this is my first time doing this.
