extreme heat


the ac / radio and cupholder areas are getting extremely warm, sometimes hot to the touch after running the car for sometime.. ill see if i can time it better...

oh yea... oil change today, and possibly a race between me and a good friend tomorrow at the strip... it if goes down, ill let you know how it goes...

My A/C and radio controls get hot to the touch also, I think its normal. Good luck w/ your race - bring a camera if you got one

thats why i had to get a new shifter knob! not only from the sun sitting on it all day and then scolding my hand, but after a good drive(va to pa), it would also get too hot to touch... i had to get something else...

i dont have one, but i think my autotech teacher may have one, ill ask when i do the oil change in a coupla hours or so...

yes, it's normal. that's why they advise not to use home-made cd's with the adhesive labels. The label tend sto come off inside the player and makes one hell of a mess. I'll see if I can find the service message for this.

they get hot usually b/c of the lights behind them. i have the billit aluminum a/c controls (stocking stuffer last year) and they heat up even worse lol.

Yup. NEVER put paper label CD's in youre disk player... cause it just pisses off the people at the cd player company and they give us (dealerships) nasty letters.

Of course the shifter will get hot to the touch, because its a straight connection to youre transmission. I have a knob thats chrome with a rubber ring around it.

no, the automatic shifter doesnt get warm/hot... the area around it, including the cupholders do...
