Alignment issue

Hello everyone! I’ve been reading these forums for a while, but this is the first time I’ve ever needed to post. When I bought my mustang about six months ago it came with a number of mods already, including the 18” rims below, mac caster/camber plates, and the previous owner lowered it by swapping in 4 cylinder foxbody mustang springs. While the car drove straight I could tell from tire wear the alignment was completely jacked so a few days after I bought it I took it into a tire shop and my suspicions were confirmed. I got it aligned and it was fine. A few months after that I hit a really nasty pothole. It destroyed both of the rims on one side of the car and blew out the caster camber plate. I replaced the plates with some beefier ones and after taking it in to the same place (and the same technician) he said he couldn’t align the car with the new plates because the edge of the plates runs into the side of the car and he isn’t able to push strut all the way towards the outside of the car (I hope I explained that clearly). He did the best he could and it drove fairly straight. After a few months the handling characteristics of the car changed, I suspect from tire wear since they were originally very worn on the inside and I took it in to have it checked out. A different technician looked at it and some of the numbers were off so he adjusted it as best he could. After leaving I could tell the alignment was totally jacked; the steering wheel sits cockeyed when the car drives straight and it has a big deadzone. I’m going to have to take it back and somehow try to get the ‘good’ technician to take a look at it without pissing them off, since the warranty doesn’t say anything about who services it and they’re already losing money on me with the amount of warranty service they’ve done. So, at this point I can look at buying another set of mac c/c plates (which seem kind of flimsy to me), keep messing around with the set I have now, or try returning it to stock height so the car can be aligned with the current plates. Another alternative might be to grind the sides off of the plates I have right now so the struts can be further outwards. Anyone have any issues like these before? What sort of springs/plates/etc do you have in your car that you’ve had good luck with?

Bah, I put some pics in here but it won't let me do it on my first post. I'll add them a little later.

first, I'd find a shop that can align it properly.
