Hey everyone well as some of you know i just bought a used motor out of a 2003 gt with a bad rod bearing!! BUT..... i was just on craigslist and there is a guy here in town selling a built 5.4... details below

Allright guys - buying a house so get this outa my garage.

Fully forged 5.4L engine
- Seasoned block bored .20 over
- Square decked and plate honed
- Forged crank, micro-polished
- MMR/Manley Rods
- Manley 18cc Dish Pistons
- ARP 2000 Rod Bolts
- Speedpro Rings
- Federal Mogul bearings throughout
- 0 Miles since rebuild
- Will accept 2v/3v/4v heads

$3,000 and I'll bring deliver it to your front door if your in AZ, NV, UT, SoCal and toss in the stand too. Located in Vegas. It's still at the machine shop so I dont have pics yet, but will get some asap.


So should i find the money under the mattress and buy this or would it be to much work for what its would be worth??? Let me know??...

As long as everything is in good condition, sounds like a decent deal to me. Make sure he has all receipts.

if he has all those parts ask for receipts for them before you even think about buying it.

oh i would for sure and i will bluntly ask him what it was out of originally,.... and i know you can't get 900 horses on just a forged motor but maybe he mean it can handle 900???....

I feel scam as well, but go and check it out! Make sure its an actuall MMR block and not just a stock block! His add said MMR block, not just MMR internals

And is there a way i can tell by looking at the block to see if its an MMR??...

ok well i just checked MMR website and his description is as it is on their site, i know he could have just copied and pasted it but..... I guess all i can do is look into it....

And how involved would it be to convert everything to work in my car, i general???...
