Cobra Big Brake Kit Problems

First of all, everyone who buys one of these from Ford Racing should know that the stainless steel brake lines dont fit the stock brake line setup. The stock Mustang bolts for the connection are 15mm and the bolt size on the steel brake hose is 17mm. Anyway, you can reuse your stock brake lines obviously but thats not my point...Is it normal for the rotors to make a metallic sliding sound when you first put them on? The rotor is sliding against the caliper its not scratching the rotor, but its a constant sound. The assembly is on correctly and Im still bleeding the brakes I have'nt really driven on them yet but am I supposed to spray the rotors with something?

1. I believe the brake lines are different for each side?
Are you sure you got them correct?
(I have not done this upgrade but I remember reading this somewhere, please correct me if I am wrong)
2. You should spray off the rotor with brake cleaner because they put a coating of oil on it at the factory to prevent rust and it will contaminate your pads.
Generally no harm is done because it burns off, but next time spray the rotor off before driving the car.

Brake cleaner? Ok...Yeah I actually thought it was the dust sheild, in fact a little while ago I went out and bent the close sections away from the rotors just to be safe, thought I dont think that was it. What I DO know is that while installing them, I got a little brake fluid on the rotors, I hope that wont hurt them. As soon as I finish bleeding the system (Ive been at it for three days on and off) Ill drive it and see if it goes away. It is a tight fit though, what it sounds like is the rotor rubbing against the either the caliper or the brake pads, mostly it sounds as if its coming from INSIDE the system meaning somewhere where the caliper housing meets the rotor. Anyway, the brake lines are actually the same in this kit... I dont know if the kit was put together wrong in the box or what but the two hoses have the same measurement on the connecting end, does'nt matter I reused my stock lines and they obviously should do fine with the new kit. Thanks Ill let you know what happens tomorrow. Greg
