you guys think that with 459 rwhp he's only gonna be running mid 12's?? that doesnt make sense to me thats gotta be pushing 500 at the crank and thats all it will do? i thought it'd be faster than that. i thought cobras ran high 12's stock. seems like all that extra power should knock off more time. now i'm not a racer but that doesnt make sense to me someone clarify maybe?

well the car is probably capabile of more. but theres always that driver mod that everyone forgets about. plus hes in dallas hot and humid = less power
launch will really depend on it

Man I hate nitto's. Get some MT's

I wouldn't call a 14.74 "better". If you were running 14.1 or lower, that would be a valid point of discussion, but anything less than .3 of a second, is just driver/tires issues, not power.

i said 12.5 simply because i dont know his suspension setup, what tires he would be on or his driver situation....

with stock suspension, his horsepower level will just whitesmoke the tires halfway down the track, SPINNING AINT WINNING.... i would hope he beefed it up some

i would hope he is on at least drag radials, but some hook better than other and finally, if its his first time to go from a stock cobra to a 459WHP cobra, he's not going to be running 10's on the first try (IMO)

thats why i said to set a goal for 12.5, which could be easily beaten, but its still a very respectable number to obtain

I think low 12 is more like it. I would be surprised to see him crack into the 11s. Texas heat and humidity on a stock Eaton....Plus, first time at the track with this new power...I do think is trap speed will be damn good, but not the et.

I am running Sumo tires (the ones it came with when I bought her) , no suspension mods yet. I went from an Auto 01 GT to this car. Only Mod I have done is an MGW Shifter and LT's. Suspension is next on my hit list with tires going on at the same time. I plan on running Nittos cause I still drive her sometimes.

I really appreciate all the replys. I think I will be happy with mid 12's cause the driver mod right now sucks but the more I practice the better I will get.

ok those are all good valid points that i thought about but i didnt really consider they would make such a diff.. anyways, hypothetically what do you all think this car is capable of with a good driver and suspension/tires setup? just curious here lol.

Oh for sure. With some DR, a good driver, and the right atmospheric conditions that car will be running 11s all day long.
