solid or urethane?

i was under the car today changing the oil and got a look at the motor mounts. they don't look bad, but they don't look great, either. car's 7 years old and still has the stockers. i was thinking since i have a set of longtubes that need to go in, i figure i'll replace the mounts while i'm at it. now, i've heard that solid mounts are too rigid for the street. is this true? should i just go with urethane mounts?

yes, solid it too rigid... i have urethanes and they are pretty stiff themselves, but its a great upgrade!

I've ridden in a street car with solid mounts. I would prefer the urethane. The solid mounts where just too different feeling, it was weird.
