Seatbelts..

Ok, i don't know if this is normal for the seat belts on our cars, but mine NEVER fucking retract. They just end up (on both sides) piled up on the bottom of the door and i close them in it or i have to throw the excess into the seat. Is there something i could buy that would pull the seatbelt back in so i don't have to deal with this every time I (or a passenger) get out?

It happens to me too, but I just tuck it down in between the seat & the door. I got sick of fighting with the damn thing, trying to get it to retract, so I just said fuck it. And I leave it be.

Any time that happens to me I just give it a slight pull and it retracts.
The counter balance inside could be stuck or the belt itself may be tangled inside.

yeah mine doesn't retract at all when i pull it. I usually just had to do as said above and i just move it out of the doors way and leave it in a pile lol. I'll take off the back panel and see if it is tangled. Should that come off without any tools or what do i need?

I think you need a wrench, but I'm not sure. I never had to take mine apart.

it's a lot harder than it sounds to get to the mechanism.. You honestly have to tear apart the WHOLE side. I just ended up breaking and fucking stuff up more than anything. I couldn't figure out how to get in there, because its like attached to under the seats.

You dont need 'em. Matter of fact take out the airbags too that'll make the car go faster

Re: Seatbelts..

Youre right! plus in the event that you crash, the wind shield slows you down before you hit the pavement anyway

There is a TB out for all 00 to 04's. In my 03 Cobra the Belt would not retract or extend. I took it in and they said it was wound on the spool twisted. They added teflon tape (part of the TB to add) on the part near the door that the belt runs thru to go inside the side. Try adding some to that, it helps with the retraction and extension a ton on mine. Really smooth now.

Also remember that Sealt Belts are on a 5 year / 50k milage warranty. Take it in if you are in that range.

i mean my seatbelts simply DO NOT retract very much at all. It just like piles up on my seat or in the door way. I just want them to fucking retract so i don't close the door on them EVERY time.

Mine won't retract one friggin bit either!!! I could tug on them for an hour and it wouldn't help. They just pile up in the floor.
