Satisfaction rate on convertibles among you guys...

I`ve been planning to buy a convertible since I`ve decided to go ahead to buy a Stang and I`ve been told that there is some problems ralated to the convertible like early wear and tear, leak... I would really appreciate to get your opinion( conv owners and/or know one) to make sure I`m not gonna regret my decision if I go with one.

i Traded in my 2000 Convertible..
its really a pain..
unless your going 2 have your top down 100% of the time..
Hard topz are better..
Vertz..The top tendz 2 shake Nd Move alot when you hit..80? or high speedz..
Sometimes even at 70
Top tendz 2 wear down really quick..

I don't have any problems with my convertible, it only leaks when I spray a pressure washer directly into the weather strip, never leaks when it rains, doesn't shake at high speeds... I've been 125mph in it and it never shaked in mine. I haven't had any problems at all.

That sig is sick bro! You should see if you could get a custom rear bumper that says Executioner just like that. Shit would be friggin sick.

Haha yeah, that would be pretty awesome, but would probably cost a pretty penny... whenever I graduate I'm gonna go all out on it make it a crazy ass street/strip car and have a kb cobra as a daily driver... lol

I love my vert. Do they leak, yeah after the top deminishes, but what piece of vinyl doesn't? As a vert owner I know I will have to have a new top one day. This is just like any other maintence you would do to any other car. I mean if your car needs tires you buy em dont ya? You dont buy a wagon with wooden wheels to save from buying rubber tires. So dont but a hard top just cause you dont want to replace a vert top as some point. Verts are really nice plus you get the pimp factor. As far as heating and cooling mine, I have no problems there either, my ac keeps it cool when the top is up with no problem and thats with 100* southern heat and humidity. I have driven mine on 500 mile trips with the top up and its no worse than having a hard top, probly a little more road noise but nothing serious that bothers me. Thats why they make radios anyhow. And I think I get as good as gas mileage with a vert as a hardtop.

Oh and since this is a satisfaction rating thread you should have added a poll.
So on that note I rate my satisfaction owning a vert a 10!

thats not due to the car being a convertible though is it? or is it just a door alignment problem or window regulator problem?

I also love my vert too. Although sometimes I wish I could have both. I think the Coupes are for the strip & the Verts are for the boulevard. Just my .02 !!

I love my vert... and on a side note, is there anything to put on it to make it more black? I mean its pale black... kind of like armor all on tires.
