when replacing axels


Discussing when replacing axels in the 99-04 Forum. what are the stock splines, if they arent 31 could i put 31 spline axels ...

when replacing axels

what are the stock splines, if they arent 31 could i put 31 spline axels with out changing the diff.?

Your stock axles are 28 spline. You will need a 31 spline diff. I use a rebuilt 31 spline explorer diff.

yep you need a 31 spline diff. explorers ans some f150s have them. or check out www.svtperformance.com in the vendor section for the 10% over cost ford parts thread. i got all my 31 spline stuff from steve and he was the cheapest around.
