B&M Hammer Shifter in 01 Stang
Ok... I am thinking I want to do some Mods...One of them is a new shifter. I seen this one from B&M witch we all know as a reputable company, but it says only to 01. Anyone have any idea why?
http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id...bcat=1&pid=356 It says its for aode witch I have.... Anyone have this one or another aftermarket automatic shifter? |

I am always on
![]() and for an auto.. I can look into it but I don't have an auto so another opinion would be just as good as mine.

May be a dumb question to some of you, but what is the benefit of a aftermarket shifter in a automatic?

Well..........I love the looks of it so I would say yes and it also has a lockout when shifting it manualy from 1st to 2nd to drive so you dont go right threw like I have with my oem shifter. I will be bringing my stang to the local tranny shop to have the shift kit put in...lol....It is already in the books HMUSN...thank bro.....

When HMUSN brought up Transgo I realized what jrfan4life was talking bout. I installed a transgo shift kit in my notch back in my high school days and it wasn't too hard. My shifts on my aode was much stronger after the install.

upr makes a couple of knob kits one like like the factory handle and i think keeps the od button in the same spot and the other is a ball shifter and relocates the od button in kit sold separately.... maybe keep factory shifter and add an air shifter from 1 to 2 then you could shift from 2 to drive
