1st time track results are in!


Hi everyone! Went to the track last night, 1st time to race this car, second time to a track in my life. Only got to run one time, track was packed. I raced an SRT4, wasn't even a race. When we left the line, I never saw him again until the end of the track.

R/T - .747
60' - 2.280
330' - 6.100
1/8 - 9.115
MPH - 81.86
1/4 - 13.856
MPH - 103.67

Other than a better driver, in your opinion what will it take to get in to the 12's? Consistent 12's is the goal!

Current Mods are 5.0 stroker kit, Eagle fully forged rolling assembly, Stage 3 Patriot performance heads, comp cams, K&N cai, BBK headers, BBK off-road x-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers and Diablo tune.
Dyno'ed 291rwhp, 317 rwtq. Timing is currently retarded by 2 degrees.

Stock gears, Nitto 555 tires 245/45/17, Everthing except engine is stock.

Gears, Tubular Upper and Lower Control Arms, Drag Radials, Subframe Connectors (Optional), 31 Spline Axles, 31 Spline Diff should see ya a nice 12 second time slip...

The car has 12's in it...The suspension is what is holding it back...Ask Dragnracin72...He has put his car in the 12's N/A...

throw some 3.73s in it..either procharger or vortech..or 125shot of nitrous..get a lilk suspension workj and boom 12s maybe even 11s..actually if you went supercharger you could be in the 11s cuz you have forged internals and can turn up the psi..

Do any of you know what kinda money we are talking for the suspension? I really wanna do this and keep it as close to a sleeper as possible. BTW, last night at the track, there was a guy that was like...whoaa, I thought it was stock with some mufflers....thats what I'm looking for and 12 seconds!

Also, I will post some pics tomorrow.

a 103 trap speed is damn close to 12's. i went 13.22@102 on slicks a while back. i would look into a more agressive tune also. with a 5.0 stroker and a eagle bottom end, that motor is fully capable of running more power than that. what is the compression spec? t/b & plunum, control arms, gears, and if you want you could do a power adder.

Compression is 9.36 to 1. Right now I've still got a couple of cylinders leaking down (chromoly rings not seated???) therefore tuner has timing retarded by 2 degrees. He said run it hard and it should seal on up. t/b and plenum are stock now as well, that will probably be next, also forgot the guy that tuned it added 24# injectors. Removed the EGR valve and vented the valve covers directly out under the car.
