I am looking some insight on a project I am doing... My goal for my project is to be versatile for the Drag strip and or Road track racecar! I have purchased a 2003 white box mustang (Just body no motor, tranny or wiring etc, etc)... I have a full (Nascar) style roll cage installed and I am looking to take my 1989 fox body mustang ...pulling the motor and tranny (306 and HD T-5) that have been modded (Heads, Cam, Intake fully adjustable F.I. system ect, ect) and placing them into the 2003. Now by gossip I have been told that I need an new K-member, different steering setup, clutch setup, firewall changes (moved back?) and gas-brake-clutch peddle assembly changes. I am looking to see if anyone else has done the conversion / or knowledge of... Can I use the pieces from my 89... or do you think I should just piece out my 89 fox body and look or a totaled out 1999-2004 and swap? Any ideas, info or insight will help!

I almost bought a 2001 v6 mustang that had a Built Cobra 5.0L in it. The guy installed the wiring and dash, cluster and ecu from a SN95 since they basically have the same firewall and cab design. You will need the K-member from a 94/95 5.0L and wiring etc from it. Get an aftermarket Tubular k-member. That car was a sick sleeper. It looked like a V6 but ran like a bat outta hell. Talk about cheap insurance.

BTW how much did you pick that modded shell up for? Wanna sell it to me?
