408 Stroker

I have an auto 99 GT with 110,000 miles on it. Im looking to get a 351W and do a 408 stroker. I would like 500-600 hp. Its going to to be a street/strip car.
My friend is getting ready to do a 383 stroker to his 95 T/A and I want to beat him.
My questions are:
Which 351 block would be the best to do this to?
What tranny should I go with?
What k-member should i get?
What cam/head/intake combo to go with?
What fuel upgrades I should do?
And would I have to beef up my rear end?

Thanx

wrong section, this is a mod motor section. And if you don't know what type of heads and cam, and anything else you want for a 408 then you might not have any buisness doing the swap. Don't go spending a ass ton of money just to beat a friends car, someone will always be faster.
