if you have a stock engine with a 75mm tb and plenum with a cai, then it really wont do anything for hp wise, but to hurt it, never heard that

false.

75mm can hurt you
but a 70mm won't

it's not going to see big gains on a n/a motor though

I've heard that putting to large of a TB on a car that is more or less stock will hurt performance. Thats probably what your source was talkin about.

i got a 99,.. i put a bbk 75mm tb/plenum combo, flows, and a fenderwell, aside from my tri-ax thats all i have... and i definitely notice a difference...powerband hits a lil diff. (a lil later) but it pulls harder than stock... my boys got a 02 and he used to take me all day wen i was stock,.. but even when my shifting is worse than his, im always pulling....just my 2 cents

i cant see how those mods could hurt you. they will give you gains but minimal. maybe 10 rwhp on avg.

i went with 75mm and havent had any problems.

every forum you see has a different response for that question lol.

The only difference I noticed with my 75mm is that it is a little "touchy" to the response. Can get you to jerk a little more. 75mm will help with more aggressive mods, but with just CAI, it won't hurt the engine, it just kills a bit of low end.

I had a decent noticeable difference with the combo. Alot better throttle response too.

Maybe he meant that you'd take in more air than the stock headers and 2 1/4" exhaust can pass. I don't know if it will hurt you, but you won't see much gains from it.
