Low End Whine Sound

My 2001 GT is running good for 110,000 miles, but for the past few months Ive been experiencing a low-end whining sound thats faint but noticeable, I tend to ride it a little hard going to work (the roads are empty at 3am) but I always shift cleanly so for that reason I dont think its the clutch. But, I usually hear it for a second or two when I let up completely on the clutch...And in 5th gear, doing about 60, if I press slightly on the accelerator I can hear it again. Maybe its just me getting too used to the car's speed and I need something more powerfull but does this sound familiar to anyone? It sounds almost like a really quite lathe.

It could be the rear end.

haha that would be the sound of a Kenne Bell 2.1 or 2.6 lol. take it in for a tune up... stangs w/ 100k+ need a tune up if they havent already had one... then get one about every 25k miles down the road from there on.
