I curently own a 02 mustang v6. I want to get a 99-04 gt. i have the diablo sport tuner. I was wondering if it would work provided i put the factory tune back?

I don't think so. It wouldn't make sense. Everything is different between the cars. The tune would be different from a V6 to a V8. Best thing is to just call Diablo and ask.

Diablosport makes one tuner that works on all Mustangs (v6 and v8), N/A Cobras, Bullitts, Mach 1's and the Mercury Marauder.

Do you know the model #? Is it U7146? if it is it will work.

yeah thats the one. i feel so stupid i checked on the web and their is a tuner and dyno for diablo less than a 1/2 mile frome my house, but never been their. It is good to know that it will transfer for my future car and custum tunes. do other tuners do the same?

i think the SCT XCal2 is good for most Ford vehicles

It will not transfer your custom tunes, not that you want to from a V6 to a GT. No you don't have to return it to be reflashed or anything like that. Only the Xcall II has to do that.

Well I stand corrected...lol...That's really wierd that a company would do that. You would think they'd have a monopoly on their tuners. Guess you just saved some money huh Danderson...

Superchips is like that. I bought one of those for my 2004 V6 Stang and it only worked for that model. As expensive as those things are they should work on more than one car.

I love it when that happens! It's like you just found $350 in your back pcket. lol!

And I totally agree NBK. Tuners should be diverse. I never even thought about checking when I was buying mine. I guess I just went stright for Diablo and got lucky. But i is somehting to think about when buying one.
