10.5 inch wheels


So i am ready to buy new wheels for my car and i want some 10.5s in the rear. Is there any way to get them on to my irs or do i need a new axle.? any help is appreciated.

yeah, i hope that someone knows the answer cause I would like to know whey they wouldn't fit on an IRS.

I could swear that plenty of guys have put 10.5's on their cobras and not having to have change anything, but i could be wrong

I have them on my 2001 GT... I dont know any reason why they would'nt slide on your snake...

last summer i helped my buddy Dustin put DD fr-500's on his 04 Cobra. he did a lot of research before getting them and found that the only issue is one bolt on each side of the IRS. what happens is that the head on the bolt is too long and may rub against the tire. you can either remove the bolt and shave the head down some, or some places sell replacement bolts that have the shorter heads on them so they will not rub. like i said, we did that a year ago and he hasn't lost a single tire to the IRS.
