Shift Kit for an 03 auto


Just looking for some info
How much do they cost?
how hard to install?
how good are benefits????

They will ship it where ever you want for minimal money. Its 80 dollers and change they say it takes 10 minnutes to install but I think Im gonna take it some where do get it done... we will see...

it will save u a couple of 10'ts in the quarter. It gets rid of the lag between geers that ford has built in for comfort. Nice positive shifts...

i have an 01 auto with no shift kit but have an SCT mail order tune and it firmed up the shifts like crazy...that and 4.10s at WOT its neck breaking shifts,hehe

Ya I was planning on the tuner too.
But won't a shift kit make it more reliable for hard shifts?
in other words it won't break as soon as a trans without one?

+1...I just got 3 tunes for my Xcal2 from BamaChips and the shifting is a hell of alot better and he sdjusted the lockup rate on the torque convertor. I still have the stock rear gears, but you can still feel the ass end grab and spin the tires when it shifts to 2nd. Can't wait for gears.
I'm interested to know if the shift kit would help or not as far as the tranny is concerned.
