the plan is forming.

well i've been doing some research and i think i am just going to scrap the terminator idea and build my GT.

first things first, i want to go with a new shortblock. i am thinking a 302 stroker forged shortblock. i will keep my old shorblock and leave it alone so if/when i want to resell my car for some reason i will still have the original engine.

i will run my stock heads and intake, but probably go with an accufab plenum/tb combo.

now the big part, i want to go with a twin turbo setup. i've been looking at the HP twin turbo kit and it looks pretty nice. it includes a coilover conversion and tubular K-member setup. i have also seen the hellion single turbo setup but i want to go with twins.

once i get all that accomplished, (we're looking at over 10K so far) i should have my new setup up and running. i will run a conservative boost and tune until i can save up to get my transmission and rear end built to handle the power, + brakes to stop better, then once i can afford to do all that i will crank the boost and the forged stroker block should handle some serious power. and if that just isn't enough for me i can get some heads and cams.

i know this is a pretty far fetched idea, but i have already saved up over 1K just for my car and i'm continuing to add to it whenever i get a little extra cash.

any input would be cool, this is going to be a good 3 year project. once i get out of college i'll really be able to go to work on it because school takes a good chunk of my budget away..

Its a good plan. But I don't know how practical it is for a budget project. You will most likely be spending more money then you want to on supporting mods and other stuff.

But the outcome will probably come out sweet.

I would put the extra money from the stroker into some good heads and just build a stock stroke shortblock. You really wouldn't want the stroker block with the turbo IMO, because you will need the upper rpm revs for that TT to really spin up and the stroke of the 302 could cause some unwanted stress.

a correctly built stroker kit will be able to rev just as high. but i do agree, just bore +.020 or whatever you need and invest into heads and cams. heads and cams are a big key when it comes to making power. without flow, or the correct cams the engine is limited on it potential. the 8.8 will handle the power you want to put to it, just weld the tubes and get good internals. transmissions options will be the tko and the viper spec t56 to handle that much power.
