2001 Mustang GT convertable headrest

Is there an aftermarket adjustable headrest available for my GT? My stock headrest is worthless. I would like to use my headrest while driving. If I lean against it as is, I'm looking up almost. Thanks in advance.

Ha! I know exactly what you're talking about... I'm not sure if there are any improvements but I have the same problem too. It's perfect though if you want to take a nap

Im not sure if they are interchangable, but i would put some 2005 headrests in it.... they are comfy as hell..... If all else fails. Buy some seats that fit youre taste ie: Mach,Cobra seats.

Thanks for the replys. Hopefully I can find a source to replace mine. Does anybody know what years the adjustable (Front and back, not up and down) headrests were available?

Has anyone here tried to stick an 03 or 04 GT style head-rest in an earlier seat? it *looks* like it would fit and the 03 head rest is larger and it folds forward and becomes more of a cushion. I would test it out. It's a little tricky removing the stock one. I think I had to push it either forward or backard pretty hard as I pulled up. Do the same on an 03, see if it fits. If it works, go to the dealership and order.
